Our Mandate

The Armaments Corporation of South Africa SOC Limited (Armscor) is the acquisition agency for the South African Department of Defence (DOD), and other organs of state and entities.  Renowned for its acquisition expertise, the organisation focuses on producing research and vanguard technological solutions required to provide safety and security for South Africa, its citizens, and the continent.

Armscor’s mandate is to provide the armed forces with state-of-the-art defence matériel, delivering innovative defence solutions efficiently and effectively.

With over six decades of acquisition expertise, Armscor’s industry capabilities range from conceptualisation to technology development, the upgrading, maintenance and disposal of products. Buoyed by its operational research institutes, test and evaluation facilities and industry capabilities, Armscor is capable and ready to be your strategic partner of choice.
