What We Do
Armscor’s capability in acquisition spans over six decades, its technology know-how ranges from technology development, development and upgrading of products as well as maintenance and disposal of products. Buoyed by its own operational research institutes, test and evaluation facilities and industry capabilities, Armscor is extending its services beyond its primary client – DOD to further support the entire continent in their peace keeping missions.

Arms Control Compliance
The function of the Arms Control Division (ACD) is to ensure that Armscor conducts it’s business in compliance with South African defence trade legislation as well as defence export controls of supplier countries.
Tender Bulletin
Armscor will from January 2012 not issue tender documents directly to possible offerors anymore. Tenders will be advertised on the Armscor tender bulletin and companies have to request for the documents if they are able to supply.

Armscor signs MoU with Gauteng Department of Transport
Following a visit by the MEC for Public Transport and Roads Infrastructure in Gauteng, Mr Jacob Mamabolo, Armscor has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
DEFENCE INDUSTRY STRATEGY
The National Defence Industry Council (NDIC) tasked a technical team to draft the NDIC Defence Industry Strategy document. The team consisted of experts and representatives from both government and the defence industry. The Minister of Trade and Industry, Honourable Dr Rob Davies, promulgated the Defence Sector Code in the Government Gazette No. 42391 dated 12 April 2019.

BBBEE VERIFICATION CERTIFICATES & SWORN AFFIDAVITS
As per the Circular from the BBBEE Commissioner and in line with the BBBEE Codes of Good Practice, Armscor will only accept a Sworn Affidavit by the Commissioner of Oaths from EMEs as from 3 January 2017. Read more…
