IMT’s UWSS capability develops and maintains advanced sonar, magnetic, pressure, and electric field systems to interpret underwater signals with accuracy. Our facilities include two large-scale water tanks for transducer and sonar calibration, providing unmatched testing and acceptance environments.

This expertise allows for refined sonar performance modelling, enabling submarine crews and surface operators to make informed tactical decisions. Tools developed in this domain assist with noise diagnostics, target classification, and signature management — all critical for maintaining undersea superiority.
