Support Function
The Acquisition Department of Armscor is a core business function of the organisation. Acquisition specialises in the analysis of DOD requirements, technology development and the design of defence products and systems. This includes the industrialisation and manufacturing of mature defence products and product systems that fully meet DOD requirements. The acquisition function further entails the procurement of existing and qualified defence products as well as the acquisition of product system support during the operational lifetime of these defence systems. Armscor has the capability to perform independent or centralised coordination of the acquisition function and play a management role in technology acquisition and technology commercialisation initiatives.
Delivering Defence Excellence from Concept to Combat
As a core function, Armscor’s Acquisition Department provides comprehensive support for the Department of Defence (DOD). This ranges from analyzing requirements and developing technology to designing, industrializing, and manufacturing defense products and systems that meet stringent DOD specifications. We also manage the procurement of existing solutions and ensure ongoing product system support throughout their operational lifespan. Armscor can independently or centrally coordinate these efforts, actively managing technology acquisition and commercialization.
