Armscor Security Division : Home

The main focus of Armscor Security Division (ASD) is managing risks, ensuring compliance and enhancing security awareness in the Defence Related Industry (DRI). To that end, ASD is responsible for the management, monitoring, maintenance, facilitation and execution of a diverse range of security-related functions, activities and processes in the Armscor corporate and DRI environments. ASD security personnel execute the following functions in support of the above statement:

security evaluations and audits at defence suppliers countrywide
monitoring of project security at relevant projects
ensuring compliance with relevant DOD / Armscor instructions and directives
management of code words
facilitation and monitoring of personnel clearances of Armscor /suppliers
limited access authorisation (LAA) process
security investigations
liaison with local intelligence agencies
validation of Facility Security Clearances (FSCs)
information security
Upfront approval to visit foreign defence related industry
