The DOD actively supports the defence industry by making its personnel, equipment (Material) and facilities available to assist in the marketing initiatives of the domestic defence industry.  From this DEPS gets its purpose, namely, to facilitate the processes for satisfying request from the DRI for marketing support in the form of equipment, personnel, material aid and visits to SANDF facilities, on behalf of the DOD.

Our services include:

• Facilitating the drafting of contracts with the DRI for SANDF marketing support and material aid in the form of equipment, personnel and facilities.
• Registering, administering and processing of all incoming requests for support through DOD/SANDF channels.
• To handle and monitor the administration, maintenance and safe return of all DOD equipment.
• Invoicing and payment for all funds received from the DRI to the DOD.
